Is Custom Product Builder for WooCommerce free?

Yes. The free version on WordPress.org includes the Simple Builder, canvas and clipart uploads, text, drawing, templates, preview, download, reset, layers and the design in each order.

How many products can I make customizable?

Unlimited, in both Free and Pro.

Do I need coding skills?

No. Setup happens on the product edit screen and in the Configure Designer wizard.

Can customers upload their own images?

Customer image uploads are PRO. See Pro: customer image uploads.

Can a product have a front and back design?

Yes, with PRO. Add Front, Back, Side and more in Canvas views. See multiple sides.

Where do I find a customer’s print files?

In the Custom Product Builder Order Assets box on the WooCommerce order, or in Product Builder → Custom Orders. The one-click ZIP is PRO. See view customized orders.

Do I need to keep the free plugin with Pro?

No. Pro includes every free feature. After activating your license, deactivate the free plugin.

Does AI Creative cost extra?

The module is included in Pro. Image generation uses your own OpenAI API key and is billed by OpenAI.

Is there a refund on Pro?

Troubleshooting

The builder doesn’t appear on the product page

• Check that Enable Builder is on and you clicked Update or Publish.
• Make sure you uploaded a canvas in Step 2 of Configure Designer.
• Check the tools are on in Toolkit and not set to Disable in Step 3.
• Clear any page cache, then reload.
• If the store is in “Coming soon” mode, only logged-in admins see the product.

The Configure Designer button is missing

• Turn on Enable Builder, then click Save Draft so the product has an ID.

Clipart looks boxy or has a white background

• Upload clipart as transparent PNG files.

I can’t find the customer’s design

• Open the order in WooCommerce → Orders and look for the Custom Product Builder Order Assets box.
• Only orders for products with Enable Builder on include a design.
• In Pro, only sides the customer designed on are saved.

Pro features are still locked

• Activate the license from Plugins → Activate License and check Product Builder → Account.

Two Product Builder menus

• The free plugin is still active alongside Pro. Deactivate the free plugin.

AI Creative does nothing

• Add a valid OpenAI API Key and check your OpenAI quota.

Order emails not arriving

• Check your site’s mail setup, for example with an SMTP plugin.

Pro registers no shortcodes. Filters: cpbpwc_builder_js, cpbpwc_advance_builder_js, cpbpwc_f_designer_html, cpbpwc_toolkit_skip_default_enqueue.
