Turn any WooCommerce product into a customizable one with the Enable Builder toggle and the three-step Configure Designer wizard. The free version has no product limit.

Enable the builder

1. Go to Products and open a product, or click Add New Product.
2. In the Product Builder box in the right sidebar, turn on Enable Builder.
3. Click CONFIGURE DESIGNER to open the setup wizard.

Tip: If CONFIGURE DESIGNER doesn’t appear, click Save Draft first so the product has an ID.

Step 1: Choose builder type

1. Select Simple Builder. It uses your theme’s product page and works well on mobile.
2. Click Next.

Advanced Builder PRO is a full-screen visual canvas. See Pro: Advanced Builder.

Step 2: Add your assets

1. Under Canvas Backgrounds, click Upload Canvas and choose the base product image, for example a blank hoodie.
2. Under Clipart & Elements, click Upload Element to add logos, icons or badges.
3. Click Next.

Tip: Upload clipart as transparent PNG files so it doesn’t look boxy.

Multiple sides (Front, Back, Side) and a restricted design area are PRO. See multiple sides and restricted design area.

Step 3: Configure builder features

1. For each feature choose Global (use the Toolkit setting), Individual (this product only) or Disable (hide it on this product).
2. Click Done, then click Update or Publish on the product.

With Individual, the options Enable Custom Price, Image Limit and Allow Remove Background are greyed out and marked PRO in the free version.

Publish and test

1. Check the product price, images and inventory as usual.
2. Click Publish or Update.
3. Click View product to test the builder on your store.
